SUMMARY:Friendsgiving: Stone Soup for Kids
DESCRIPTION:Friendsgiving: Stone Soup for Kids\nPresented by Lehigh Valley
Greenways partners\, Wildlands Conservancy\nIn the delightful folk tale "
Stone Soup" a weary traveler tells a village that he can make a delicious
soup from water and a stone. The story goes on to show that the magic wasn
’t in the stone\; it was in the power of the community. The same thing c
an be found in nature\, where a community is a group of interdependent org
anisms of different species growing or living together in a specified habi
tat. Each species adds to the community and depends on all others within t
he habitat. Prior to our hike\, we'll start two big pots of "Stone Soup" o
ver an open fire. Please bring a vegetable\, fresh or canned\, to add to t
he community pots. We'll have beef-based and vegetarian soup. While the so
ups are simmering\, we'll walk the trails at PWS.\n\nLocation: Pool Wildli
 fe Sanctuary\, 3701 Orchid Place\, Emmaus\, PA 18049\n\nPrice: $25\n\nFor
more information and to register\, visit Wildlands Conservancy’s regis
 tration website.
