DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\n\nWildlands Conservancy: Volunteer Opportunity at Trex
 ler Nature Preserve\, Mill Creek\n\nWildlands Conservancy maintains vegeta
 tive areas along streams (riparian buffers) and helps ensure the survival 
 of young\, native trees in the forest buffer.\n\nThese vital areas improve
  water quality in local communities\, reduce erosion and flooding concerns
 \, and provide habitat for wildlife.\n\nStream Team is a series of volunte
 er opportunities on Fridays from June through September.\n\nVolunteers wil
 l:\n-maintain tubes placed over the trees to protect them from deer\n-remo
 ve invasive vegetation\n\nVolunteers must:\n-be 16 years or older OR be ac
 companied by a parent/guardian if under 16\n-be able to work outside for t
 he duration of the shift\, on uneven ground\n-wear safe footwear and cloth
 ing that can get dirty\n\nWorking Conditions:\n-Participants should be pre
 pared for anticipated weather conditions. This event will generally be rai
 n or shine with the exception of severe weather conditions.\n-Gloves\, too
 ls\, water\, and snacks will be provided\, but volunteers are welcome to b
 ring their own.\n–Participants should bring bug spray\, sunscreen\, and 
 hats as desired to protect from the elements.\n–Some locations where we 
 will work will have restroom facilities\, though others will not\, so part
 icipants should plan accordingly. \n\nTo sign up for your desired shift(s
