DESCRIPTION:Wildlands Conservancy - Get Out! for Wellness: Bears Rocks &amp
 \; Bake Oven Knob\n\nBake Oven Knob\, elevation 1\,500 feet\, is a great p
 lace for watching migrating hawks and other birds\, especially at this tim
 e of year. Except for the first mile or so\, the trail includes many rocks
  and boulders.\n\nSturdy footwear and a walking stick/hiking poles are rec
 ommended. The hike is appropriate for children over 4. Dogs on leash are w
 elcome. Dress in layers suitable for the weather. Optional: garden gloves 
 (for the rough rocks) and binoculars/camera for the views and the migratin
 g birds. Please note that there are no bathrooms available.\n\nDate: 11/11

 , Germansville\, PA \n\nDIRECTIONS: Do NOT attempt to drive up Bake Oven 
 Knob Road from the north/Carbon County! The road is impassable.\n\nFrom Ro
 ute 22 take Rt. 309 north. Take note of your mileage at the intersection w
 here Rt. 873 splits with Rt. 309. From the split go 4.4 miles on Rt. 309 t
 o Pleasant Corners. Turn right onto Bake Oven Road. Go on Bake Oven Rd for
  about 3.8 miles to a stop sign at Mountain Road. Cross Mountain Road and 
 continue on Bake Oven Road for 0.5 mile to a stop sign at Church/Walter Ro
 ad. Turn left for 0.2 miles and turn right onto Bake Oven Road. Bake Oven 
 Road becomes gravel. Continue up for 1.4 miles. At the crest of the mounta
 in are two parking areas. We will meet in the parking area on the right si
