DESCRIPTION:Wildlands Conservancy - Get Out! for Wellness: Hoover-Mason Tre
 stle &amp\;amp\; South Side Bethlehem’s Urban Arts\n\nWalk the Hoover-Ma
 son Trestle\, then take the self-guided (on-line) tour of Bethlehem’s Ur
 ban Art Walk. We end with a peak at the National Museum of Industry’s 
 “baby” blast furnace and rail engines. The Hoover-Mason Trestle was a 
 narrow-gauge railroad that shuttled raw materials (coke\, limestone and ir
 on ore) to the blast furnaces. Now delightful wildflowers bloom in front o
 f the blast furnaces. The trestle overlooks the National Museum of Industr
 ial History\, Channel 39\, and Wind Creek. Opened to the public in 2015\, 
 the trestle is 46 feet tall and 2\,000 feet long. It’s named for the eng
 ineering company that designed it. Charles Schwab\, the first chairman of 
 Bethlehem Steel\, commissioned it. You can take the stairs or the elevator
  to the trestle—ADA-accessible its entire length. There is a set of stai
 rs at the eastern end (near Wind Creek) but no elevator.\n\nThe Urban Art 
 Trail is 2.75 miles of outside art. See about half of the total 37 pieces:
  murals\, sculptures\, mosaics\, and functional art—quirky bike racks\,

 s for all ages. Dogs are not allowed on the trestle (its metal surface is 
 not dog friendly.) This hike is stroller and wheelchair friendly. Dress ap
