DESCRIPTION:Wildlands Conservancy – Walk in Penn’s Woods: Stewardship i
 n Action!\nJoin Berks Nature\, Wildlands Conservancy\, and the Pennsylvani
 a Bureau of Forestry for a special Walk in Penn’s Woods experience at Be
 rks Nature’s Dent-Gundry Property.\n\nThis guided hike offers a unique o
 pportunity to explore permanently protected farmland and forest in Berks C
 ounty and learn from conservation professionals about the planning\, partn
 erships\, and hands-on stewardship required to care for these special plac
 es. Along the way\, discover how a property’s history\, ecological condi
 tions\, and conservation goals come together to shape long-term land manag
 ement.\n\nParticipants will gain insight into the challenges and opportuni
 ties involved in stewarding protected lands\, as well as practical ideas f
 or becoming better stewards of the land in their own communities. Learn ho
 w thoughtful conservation and land management practices can improve habita
 t\, protect natural resources\, and create healthier landscapes for both w
 ildlife and people.\n\nThe program is part of Walk in Penn’s Woods\, a s
 tatewide event that encourages people across Pennsylvania to explore and a
 ppreciate the Commonwealth’s forests while learning more about their eco
 logical\, cultural\, and recreational value.\n\nHike Details\n• Distance
 : Approximately 2 miles\n• Difficulty: Challenging\n• Terrain: Uneven\
 , undeveloped trails with elevation changes\n• Recommended: Hiking boots
 \, long pants\, and trekking poles\n• Pets: Permitted if well-mannered a

 me!\n\nDue to the challenging terrain and elevation changes\, participants
