Learn to tie dry flies, wet flies, nymphs and streamers. Learn about macro-invertebrates and how they show water quality.
This introductory course will be held on eight consecutive Saturdays in January and February to teach basic fly tying techniques. All materials and a manual in booklet or CD form are included. Both booklet and CD contain instructions on the 16 flies taught during the course. Twenty in-class loaner kits containing a tying vise and tools are available.
Registration fee for the series is $40.00 for adults. It is $15.00 for students/minors 16 years of age and under (to be refunded if they attend at least 6 weeks of the 8-week course). Disabled Veterans are free through Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing. The classess will be held in the cafeteria at Northampton Middle School.
