Ribbon cutting for the D&L Trail: Carbon County Connectivity Project recently completed to provide secure pedestrian and bicycle access between communities of Weissport, Lehighton and East Penn Township. These three critical links now connect Lehigh Gap to the site of the future Carbon County Pedestrian Bridge in Jim Thorpe. Join us for the celebratory ribbon cutting and scheduled remarks by or representatives of Senator John Yudichak, Representative Doyle Heffley, Carbon County Commissioner Tom Gerhard, Diane Kripas of DCNR, Attorney William Schwab of East Penn Township, Nicole Beckett of Lehighton Borough, and Elissa Garofalo and Michael Drabenstott with Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor.
