Ironton Rail Trail Spring Historical Walk
The walk is approximately 7 miles. Allow 4 hours at a leisurely pace. Occasional stops to view historical sites, buildings and landmarks related to the Iron and Cement Industries the Ironton RR serviced during the Industrial Revolution in the late 1800’s. Over 24 historical sites will be presented. The trail is a 5 mile loop on a paved surface. The walk starts and ends at the Parkway Barn on Chestnut Street west of MacArthur Road by the traffic light at Sheetz.
