Note – Road Closure on Lehigh Street is blocking one entrance into park.

Lehigh Drive from 25th St. into Park, is closed. Highlighted sections are open.

ALTERNATE DIRECTIONS TO HUGH MOORE PARK

 Accessing the park: From 25th St take Freemansburg Road toward Easton. Turn right on Avona Ave. From there turn right onto Iron St., which will turn into Glendon Hill Road. Continue down the hill. This will bring you out opposite the Glendon Hill Road bridge to HMP.

Leaving the park: Cross the Glendon Hill Road bridge. At the stop sign go straight. Continue up Glendon Hill Road. This will turn into Iron Street. Take Iron Street until it intersects with Avona Ave. Turn left onto Avona Ave and continue until it intersects with Freemansburg Road. Turn left to access 25th Street, or turn right to go into downtown Easton.

Accessing/Leaving the park on foot: All approved foot/bicycle access to the park is via the Glendon Hill Road bridge or the D&L Trail from Easton. For an emergency situation where these two options are not available, please call or see the Facilities Manager

 

Parking: Park in Visitor Lot (last parking lot on left), and walk to National Canal Museum via paved pathway by playground.

LV Greenways Conservation Landscape offers funding though a reimbursement grant program to support projects aimed at advancing the following goals:

  • Goal 1: Land Conservation and Restoration – Conserve critical landscapes, restore buffered stream corridors, and promote best management practices.
  • Goal 2: Outdoor Recreation and Trail Connections – Connect people to greenway and trail opportunities to promote healthy living, recreation and the region’s green assets.
  • Goal 3: Community Revitalization – Support community revitalization though green infrastructure that enhances the quality of life.
  • Goal 4: Local Education and Outreach – Promote understanding of our natural environment and its benefits to our communities.

The LV Greenways Conservation Landscape Mini Grant Program is funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) and administered by the Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (DLNHC).

2024 LV Greenways Mini Grant Timeline
  • January 29, 2024: LV Greenways Mini Grant Application Round Opens
  • February 1, 2024: LV Greenways Mini Grant Pre-Application Meeting held in-person at Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor headquarters at the National Canal Museum from 9am-11am. Coffee, tea, and snacks provided. Address: 2750 Hugh Moore Park Rd. Easton, PA 18042
    • ***All potential applicants must attend the pre-application or schedule a separate meeting with Brit Kondravy to discuss your projects. Sending a representative to the pre-application meeting is strongly preferred so you are present for the presentation and can learn from the questions of other applicants or be guided as to how or where to best apply.
  • March 8, 2024: LV Greenways Mini Grant Application Round Closes at 4pm.
  • April 2, 2024: Projects are reviewed and selected by committee.
  • April 2024: Mini grant awards are announced, and grant agreements are mailed.
  • May 1, 2024: Project start date * only if agreements are signed and returned/submitted to DLNHC.
  • November 30, 2025: Project completion and closeout.
