Wildlands Conservancy – Bird Banding at Dorothy Rider Pool Wildlife Sanctuary
Migration is in full swing, and what’s a better way to start a Sunday morning off than with all things birds? A guided bird walk and an interactive bird banding demonstration. Head out on the trails of Dorothy Rider Pool Wildlife Sanctuary to look for the seasonally changing cast of avian characters. A bird banding demonstration will also be conducted opportunistically as conditions allow, granting participants a rare up-close look at research being done on bird populations at our preserve.
All birding skill levels are welcome! This program is outdoors, so dress for the weather.
