Wildlands Conservancy – Get Out for Wellness: Devils Hole, State Game Lands 221
Located within State Game Lands 221 in Cresco, Devil’s Hole Trail is as mysterious as the name suggests. The trail leads along Devil’s Hole Creek, which boasts beautiful waterfalls. Make your way through the thick rhododendron bushes and dense forests. You’ll eventually come to the crumbling walls and ornate fireplaces at Devil’s Hole Ruins. No one knows the story behind the ruins. This 4 mile plus out-and-back is very difficult due to rocky terrain and several stream crossings. Make sure to wear shoes and pants that can get wet. Limited parking here, but parking along the road is also an option. No restrooms. Leashed dogs permitted.

Proceed about 1.1 miles to a sharp right-hand turn in the road, but continue straight into the parking lot for State Game Lands #221. Park very close to other cars. It’s a small lot.
