Wildlife Archeology

Presented by Lehigh Valley Greenways partners, Wildlands Conservancy

Are you a fan of forensics shows? Are you amazed how much the experts can tell from a site? Here’s your chance to play detective! There’s a bunch of bones buried at Pool Wildlife Sanctuary. We know what they are (but you won’t) and where they are, and we need you to help us move them. There is a technique involved in finding, collecting and transporting bones removed from the earth. You’ll learn it. You’ll excavate bones, collect and box them and bring them in for examination. Then we will learn what secrets bones reveal; from how to identify species to aging them. Perfect pre-Halloween fun!

Price: $8/adult, $4/child

Location: Pool Wildlife Sanctuary 3701 Orchid Place, Emmaus, PA 18049
