Lehigh Valley Greenways Partnership to Host 2025 Municipal Leaders Gathering and Elected Officials Mixer

(EASTON, PA) The Lehigh Valley Greenways Conservation Landscape (LV Greenways) and Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (DLNHC) will host two events in October 2025 to connect to municipal leaders and elected officials. The 2025 Municipal Leaders Gathering will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at the Wilbur Mansion on 201 Cherokee St., Bethlehem, Pa. 18015 at 8:30 a.m. and the Elected Officials Mixer will be held Wednesday, Oct. 29 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Rising River Brewing on 1955 Willow Lane, Macungie, Pa. 18062. Each event offers the opportunity to join county, local, and nonprofit leaders from across Lehigh and Northampton Counties to discuss conservation and recreation priorities and initiatives throughout the Lehigh Valley.
LV Greenways Partnership will provide information, resources and networking opportunities at each event. Municipal staff and elected officials interested in bolstering their community’s economy, quality of life, and sustainability through open space, green infrastructure, and outdoor recreation are encouraged to attend one or both events. Residents who support LV Greenways goals’ of land conservation and restoration, outdoor recreation and trail connections, community revitalization, and local education and outreach are encouraged to share this opportunity with their municipal officials, to help ensure representation from all 62 Lehigh Valley municipalities.
Oct. 28 Municipal Leaders Gathering at The Wilbur Mansion, Bethlehem 
This event will kick off with registration, breakfast and networking at 8:30 a.m., with Lehigh County and Northampton County Executives Phil Armstrong and Lamont McClure offering remarks beginning at 9 a.m. Afterwards, professionals from across the region will provide presentations focusing on applicable green infrastructure, , local trail development, and funding opportunities. Attendees will have the opportunity to gather additional resources at LV Greenways Conservation Landscape partner resource tables, and network, during scheduled breaks. Municipal leaders, including township managers, heads of public works staff, directors of parks and recreation departments, and grant writers, will find this event most relevant. If unavailable to attend due to a scheduling conflict, municipal leaders are invited to attend the Elected Officials Mixer on Oct. 29 at Rising River Brewing.

Oct. 29 Elected Officials Mixer at Rising River Brewing, Macungie 
This brand-new event, designed to engage elected municipal officials who may be unavailable during business hours, will kick off at 5:30 p.m. with appetizers, a complimentary drink, and networking. Two formal presentations focused on funding and the LV Greenways Conservation Landscape will begin at 6:00 p.m. Afterwards, attendees are invited to continue networking at their leisure. Three stations showcasing local projects related to conservation and recreation will be available for viewing and conversation.
