Join Lehigh Valley Planning Commission for the Lehigh Valley Planning + Development Gala and the Lehigh Valley Awards Ceremony, celebrating 55 years of regional planning + investment.
The Lehigh Valley Planning Commission was formed in 1961 by Lehigh and Northampton Counties and has been planning for the region for 55 years. The Lehigh Valley Gala is a celebration of regional accomplishments in planning and development.
The Lehigh Valley Awards includes projects in the following categories: Plan, Planning Policy or Ordinance; Land Development; Open Space; Revitalization; Outdoor Recreation; Transportation; Multimunicipal Cooperation; and Community of Distinction. The award winners are judged on originality and innovation; compatibility with the community; effectiveness and results; how the community was engaged; and transferability of the project, plan or ordinance. Winners and honorees are confidential until announced the night of the event.
