Wildlands Conservancy – Get Out! for Wellness: Bears Rocks & Bake Oven Knob

Bake Oven Knob, elevation 1,500 feet, is a great place for watching migrating hawks and other birds, especially at this time of year. Except for the first mile or so, the trail includes many rocks and boulders.

Sturdy footwear and a walking stick/hiking poles are recommended. The hike is appropriate for children over 4. Dogs on leash are welcome. Dress in layers suitable for the weather. Optional: garden gloves (for the rough rocks) and binoculars/camera for the views and the migrating birds. Please note that there are no bathrooms available.
